As part of Blue Week, AS Monaco last week invited around ten retirees from the Principality to discover La Diagonale and attend the match against Trabzonspor
While the excitement already reigns around the Louis-II Stadium less than three hours before the kick-off of the match against Trabzonspor, a group of ten people landed not far from there, in front of the entrance to The Diagonal. The sure step, the cheerful look.
Far from being lost, these members of the “Time to Live”a club open to retirees residing in Monaco, have an appointment to visit the Rouge & Blanche Academy building.
Visit of La Diagonale and discussion with Sébastien Muet

Club supporters, football enthusiasts or simply curious, the profiles are varied but the enthusiasm is common to all.
For almost an hour, they discovered the bowels of this place where the young talents of tomorrow are shaped. Gym, medical area, balneotherapy, bedrooms, classrooms, common living area and cafeteria now hold no secrets for them. Both amazed and impressed by the modernity of these infrastructures, they did not remain speechless and multiplied the questions in order to understand everything about the functioning of the building and the life of a resident of the Academy.
The visit finally ended with a meeting with Sébastien Muet. The Director of the Academy shared with them his vision of the young footballer of today, the differences with previous generations, as well as the evolution of the profession of trainer. An enriching exchange and particularly appreciated by the guests of the day.
Front row seats to witness victory over Trabzonspor
After the traditional souvenir photo to immortalize this unique moment, it’s time for the emotion and adrenaline of the field. The visitors therefore went to the Stade Louis-II to watch the Europa League match against the Turks of Trabzonspor.
While some of them were discovering the Fontvieille enclosure for the first time, they were not disappointed. A clear victory (3-1), a double from captain Wissam Ben Yedder and a goal from Axel Disasi… Philippe Clément’s men put on a show!
At the end of the meeting, everyone left enchanted by this great experience and with the feeling of now being part of the big Rouge & Blanche family.
In the continuity of this action, eight elders of the Hector Otto Foundation will be invited to Sunday’s match against Clermont (5:05 p.m.), counting for the 11th day of Ligue 1 Uber Eats.
