Discover the backstage of the mythical scenes of Monaco
A dream that is coming true thanks to the exhibition “Monaco On Stage – 100 years of concerts in Monaco” organized this autumn in the exhibition hall of the Quai Antoine Ier.
For nearly a century, Monaco has maintained a privileged relationship with music. Joséphine Baker, Charles Aznavour, Lady Gaga, Prince, Alicia Keys, Céline Dion, Mariah Carey… They have all performed on the legendary stages of the Salle des Etoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo or at the Opéra Garnier. If you were able to admire one or more of these artists on stage, it’s time to go to the other side of the curtain.
With the exhibition “Monaco On Stage – 100 years of concerts in Monaco”, organized from October 15 to December 31, the Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Société des Bains de Mer, offers visitors a total immersion in the corridors marked with autographs and in the reconstructed boxes of these unmissable rooms.

The organizers promise to make you the music from the “inside”, listening to vibrating guitars with the sounds of iconic riffs, or discovering a unique version of the famous song “My Way”. They will also reveal crisp anecdotes and unpublished content on the stars who have performed in the Principality.
A project carried out under the curatorship of Alex Jaffray, composer, producer and music columnist, and Rudy Sabounghi, scenographer for major European stages.
