“In the following months, new violations of international rules were committed, such as the illegal landing of a Ryanair flight following the internal border for the EU route, and the organization of a structure of artificial irregular flight flows to the EU through Belarus. “And I am sure that the day will come when I will be able to return to Belarus for this and that this will be the Belarus that many Belarusians dream of – a country where democracy and the rule of law reign and where the people can democratically and freely elect their leaders. I see the game’s untapped potential and therefore have absolutely no doubt that the country that I really liked has a great future.”Shubel says.
Schuebel said that he would return to Belarus in his work: his specialist professor on the Eastern Partnership. This initiative also includes Belarus, but in 2021 the authorities decided to suspend Belarus’ membership in it. The diplomat stressed that Belarus receives EU support.
