Report from the match 1. FC Slovácko – Bohemians Prague 1905: statistics, report
Before the fateful moment, Borek scored one save after he boxed out Kovařík’s standard situation. In the 12th minute, however, the guardian of the sanctuary ran out of her territory, Morava, and sent the escaping Drchal to the ground. The referee Petřík did not hesitate and “rewarded” Borek for the mistake by awarding a red card. Between the three posts of Slovácko, Nguyen stood up, who collected from the first shot that flew into his box. Kvet curled the kick directly under the crossbar and thanks to Nguyen’s effort he could rejoice.
With ten men on the pitch, the Uhersko-Hradišť team did not come up with much, Havlík’s rare volley was easily caught by the visitors’ goalkeeper Valeš. On the other hand, Bohemians prevailed once more before the break. Drchal’s pass into the box was tapped by Kovařík to Prekop, who fired at Nguyen with his left foot and celebrated his first goal in the top competition.
Soon after the change of sides, the Vršovičs prevailed for the third time. The ball traveled from Dostál from the right side to Drchal in the middle, after which Prekop caressed for a moment with a round nonsense and Květ took the final word, making it 0:3 with a patter on the back post.
However, Bohemka did not defend a clean sheet. In the 77th minute, full back Reinberk went on an attacking trip through the middle of the field, and when he didn’t know who to pass to, he tried his luck with a shot with his left foot. Valeš sailed through the air in vain and had to catch the balloon from the net. However, the same activity was waiting for Nguyen in another three minutes. After a cross from Beran, Květ, who completed his first hat-trick in his league career with a cool-headed finish, headed to substitute Borek, who had been sent off.
Květ could also score three goals with an assist from a kick from the corner flag, but Nguyen pushed Hůlka’s header onto the crossbar. Slovácko knew that it would be difficult to get a point in the end, but still fought and adjusted the score to 2:4. The escaping Brandner was illegally sent to the ground by Köstl, after which Daníček converted the penalty.
However, the Moravians did not follow up the winning derby with Zlín a week ago, and at home they have been waiting for a three-point win for over two months. The Bohemians have not yet found a conqueror away from home and as a reward they hold an excellent fourth place in the table.
