Eight participants from MTV Rethmar started at the Sportscheck night run in Hanover
RETHMAR
Last Friday evening, October 7th, 2022, eight runners from MTV Rethmar experienced a fantastic atmosphere in the midst of a magnificent crowd of spectators at the 18th edition of the Sportscheck night run through the city of our state capital Hanover.
The evening running spectacle, with start and finish in front of the Opernplatz, follows for the six young runners and one adult runner of the MTV Rethmar Kreuz and across a five kilometer running route through the nocturnal city center.
The course goes along the charming sights of Hanover: Ägientorplatz, market hall, new town hall, state parliament, old town, Ernst-August-Platz, Kröpcke. Dorothea Schauf, Greta Jacob, Emily Friehe and her sister Greta, Anastasia Avramoglou, Maximilian Czop, Enie Jochim and her father Fabian were on this 5 km circuit for MTV this year.
With a slight delay of a few minutes, the first gun went off at 8:12 p.m. in front of the opera house. A never-ending lindworm started moving before the final police motorcycle had run over the timing mat.
Especially for the two young MTV girls Anastasia Avramoglou and Greta Friehe, who started here in Hanover for the first time, it was a very special and emotional running experience, because it was their first run in the dark.
In the end, after the nocturnal city tour, exactly 1701 runners (882 women and 819 men) reached the finish at the opera house over this running route.
After looking at the result list, the two twelve-year-old MTV girls Enie Jochim and Anastasia Avramoglou were happy about their running performance, because Jochim improved their running time from the previous night run (2019) by more than three minutes and thus won their run by a large margin Age group (AK) WJU14 and Avramoglou easily reached second place in this age group.

- Enie Jochim – 1st place in AK WJU14, 21st place in women in 21:28 minutes.
