Korytářová, who has been working in the Liberec theater since 2004, according to the jury, played the life of the “king of comedians” with ease, a sense of Burian’s clowning without imitating him, with empathy for his emotional imbalance and the tragic features of his life. “This is a completely unusual and extraordinary acting performance not only in the time period, but also in the context of performances of a much longer period than one year of the Thalia Awards,” said the jury.
Miloň Čepelka: We wanted to play. We had no idea it would last fifty-six years
Rashilov played the character of its German author Wolfgang Borchert in the anti-war play My Empire is Out of This World. According to the jury, he completely fulfilled the expressive vision of the director Miroslav Bambušek, in an overwhelming way he sets up a mirror of a world that offers neither any dignified alternative to the life of a person in depression, nor a way out of his burnout.
