Warsaw. Taiwan will donate millions of dollars to activities for the benefit of guests from Ukraine.
The donation agreement was concluded on Wednesday at the Warsaw City Hall. They were signed by the President of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, and Bob Chen, director of the Taipei Representation Office in Poland. “It is very important to us that we can count on our friends in such a difficult situation,” said Trzaskowski.
The money from the donation will be built up for the future support of Ukrainians to Warsaw and the process of their integration in the capital. This is the second time Taipei has started operations in Warsaw in this way. – In recent months, they could count on help from Taipei, when hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians went to Warsaw. Already in May, we received 300 thousand. euro, and now another donation to us, because this booth to become an inscription, another million dollars for our national country. It is very important to us that in such a difficult situation we can count on our friends and that our international contacts count on support. Thank you very much for this help! – said the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski.
Bob, director of the Taipei Representation Office in Poland, also took the floor while voting. – First of all, preference for repair and sanctioning the authorities of the city of Warsaw and Ukrainian citizens for charity and generosity – an opportunity for residents who want to be forced to hand over their homeland because of Russia’s unwavering aggression. The representations of Taiwan and Ukraine are reciprocally geographically, to locate to know and sympathize with what the Ukrainians are experiencing, said Chen.
The cooperation in the capital has been going on for almost 27 years
– Cooperation between Warsaw and Tajka started in a very different year 1995. We organize trips for the Polish anniversary, students can use styles and learn Chinese – from taking notes at anniversary seminars Rafał Trzaskowski. Warsaw and Tapej collaborated on many levels, from trade, through aid, to the master’s industry in the field of management. For years, the Taipei Representative Office in Poland, as part of the Youth Ambassadors Exchange program, has been organizing two-week trips of Warsaw youth to Taipei. They are accommodated with Taiwanese families, thanks to which they learn about the local culture and customs. As part of the program, there are also visits of young people from Taipei in Warsaw.
