Ligue 1 – Toulouse revives against Montpellier, Ajaccio relapses
Mixed results for the former residents of League 2 during the 9th day of Ligue 1. Toulouse moved up to 12th place in the top flight on Sunday thanks to his fine victory against Montpellier (4-2) at the Stadium with goals from Spierings, Aboukhlal, Chaibi and Dejaegere. Branco Van den Boomen signs two assists. The Dutch game menu has four “assists” since the start of the season.

14th at three units from the TFC, AJ Auxerre settled for a draw against Brest (1-1) at Abbé-Deschamps. Mbaye Niang scores his first but, on penalty, in the Burgundy jersey. Jean-Marc Furlan’s men equalized being reduced to ten after the second yellow received by Jeanvier at the start of the second period.
Finally, Ajaccio remains stuck in last place with four points. The Corsican team lost again at home against Clermont (1-3). Olivier Pantaloni’s team understood the draw until the last moments of the match before the achievements of Rashani (89th) and Dossou (91st).
Also note: the first appearance in Ligue 1 of the former Le Havre Sael Kumbedi Nseke, in the jersey of Olympique Lyonnais. The 17-year-old side entered at the end of the match against Lens (0-1) in place of Tagliafico.
