This man was visibly in a hurry. Saturday 1uh October, around 7:40 p.m., two police officers patrol by bicycle in Toulouse when they spot a scooter traveling at high speed in the Carmes district. The police order him to slow down but the driver of the two-wheelers does not hear it that way.
As he charged back and tried to drive fast, the police officers positioned their bicycles across the road and signaled the driver of the scooter to stop. The latter refuses to comply and hits one of the police officers on a bicycle, while his counterpart allows him to move away in time but also falls on the road.
The two police officers filed a complaint
The driver was eventually arrested and taken into custody. According to a police source contacted by The Independent Opinion, he is a 29-year-old man. A screening revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.92 g per liter of exhaled air.
The affected police officer was prescribed one day of ITT (Temporary incapacity for work). He and his teammate filed a complaint against the individual. The latter was referred on Monday, October 3 for an immediate comparison.
