“The owner therefore welcomes the embellishment work on his accommodation, he forgets that the tenant has paid more than half of it. The honesty of a deputy is to recall this singular commitment of the communities on a project for which the State is nevertheless responsible. »

This section completed, motorists could then connect Auch to Toulouse in 40 minutes, against 1 hour currently.
Carole Delga and Philippe Dupouy felt that this development would not have been possible without funding from local authorities.
“To the €27.5m provided by the State, €14.75m from the Occitanie Region and the Department of Gers have been added, which will enable this diversion to be completed, in which the local authorities will have contributed €78m out of the €142m of the total cost, i.e. more than half. We recall the action, carried out by the Department and the Region for 24 years now, to participate in the financing of a road which was however, and still is at present, the responsibility of the State. »
Incidentally, the two local elected officials tackle MP Jean-René Cazeneuve on the railway file in the Gers:
“The Region compensates for the State’s disengagement from fine service lines, including the Toulouse – Auch axis which nevertheless carries 10,000 passengers every day, disengagement recorded by the law of 2018 for a new railway pact voted by the LREM deputy Jean René Cazeneuve”, write Philippe Dupouy and Carole Delga. “While the state is still the owner of this line”.
