Olayinka and Provod supported Olayink and Provod from the wings. In the absence of visiting players, Slovan relied on Fukala, Plechatý, Pourzitidis and Mikula in defense, with Vliegen covering their backs. Gebre Selassie, Červ and Frýdek jumped into the reserve, Višinský and Mészáros operated on the wings. Rondić introduced himself in the attack.
The opening minutes did not offer any great chances, but a goal was scored from the first serious one. In the sixteenth minute, a direct kick landed directly on the head of Aiham Ousou, who managed to poke the ball out of Vliegen’s reach. Just a few minutes later, the situation was repeated again, this time Ševčík found Peter Olayinka and Vliegen couldn’t even find a recipe on his head.
It was not the end for North Bohemia, as immediately after Rondić was in trouble after an intervention in Ousou’s territory, the VAR kicked a penalty. Stanislav Tecl failed to convert the great kick, but he got to the stop and it already ended up in the net. The seamers could add a fourth hit not long after returning from the locker room. Provod found himself in front of the visiting goalkeeper, but Vliegen made a great save.
The Belgian goalkeeper was also effective against Olayinka, the stop after his reflex save ended up over the goal. About ten minutes before the end, Vliegen shined again, this time a quick counterattack resulted in Jurečka’s finish being neutralized. Liberec made themselves known at least in the set-up itself, when Kozák got to the fallen ball. Even this time, the spectators did not see the goal, Kola was displaced.
Slavia thus got closer to Pilsen by one point, Slovan dropped to fifth place behind Bohemians, and in addition, Sparta bounced back.
