Prague 5 is participating in the 10,000 steps challenge until October
From the beginning of the month, you can join the October 10,000 step challenges. Over 10,000 participants from all over the country took part in the last spring challenge, and a hundred cities were involved. challenges The goal is not only to walk 10,000 steps a day, but to return walking to our lives. Anyone from 6 years of age can participate. The City Hall of Prague 5 joined the autumn challenge and prepared tips for trips, during which you will not only find the necessary step, but also get to know the fifth district of the city.
At the beginning of the month, everyone sets a personal situation that they work on during the month. You can associate yourself with the symbolic images of animals at your own pace. For every kilometer you travel, you get a body that varies according to your age and BMI.
With its size of 27.49 km² and a population of around 90 thousand, Prague 5 belongs to the largest urban areas of Prague. It consists of several originally separate municipalities that today form a sub-locality of Prague 5: Smíchov, Košíře, Motol, Hlubočepy (which today are divided into Hlubočepy + Starý Barrandov and Sídliště Barrandov), Radlice, Jinonice, the southern extremity of Malá Strana – Újezd and a small piece of Břevnov.
Where to go for trips around the area?
Tips for three trips around Prague 5 can be found on the geoportal: https://geoportal.praha5.cz/ in: Trips around Section Five. Other trips here will gradually increase.
The goal is to motivate older participants as overweight by being able to compare their performance with others. Registration is also possible during October. You can record the mileage, or if you want, kilometers on any device and then upload them to the prompt. I count on all-day and one-time activity during work and in my free time.
To simplify the records, it is possible to use the novelty of this October, which is the mobile application 10,000 steps. The organizer of the challenge is the Partnership for Urban Mobility, a non-profit organization that helps people create good cities – more at www.dobramesta.cz.
