San Giorgio su Legnano – With the arrival of autumn the Hobbyist Social Cultural Circle proposes a new photographic exhibition through the images collected by members during their travels. The month of October presents “Gita a Firenze” retracing the path of ours Pasquale Campolo during a short stay in the “city of the Medici”.
The “Hobbyist Social Cultural Circle“Thanks the Municipality of San Giorgio su Legnano for the sponsorship of the exhibition and hospitality in the Hall of the Town Hall in Piazza IV novembre 7.
What can you learn in a “Trip to Florence”
From the dawn of the Etruscan settlement, known since ancient times with the auspicious appellation of “Florentia”this place and then the city was the protagonist of important transformations which, starting from the Middle Ages and through the Renaissance, profoundly changed it, up to the current heritage of architectural, urban planning and cultural treasures
and art that we can admire today. In this exhibition we liked to build a “touristic stages” itinerary made up of squares and monuments, churches, bell towers and towers, palaces, galleries and works of art.
This without forgetting that Florence was born on the river, the Arno, crossed by bridges, such as the Ponte Vecchio, which have moved people and goods between its banks since ancient times. And Florence is also landscape, nestled in the hills with the villas that frame it, forming true oases of tranquility, such as the Boboli Gardens.
Program
The photo exhibition will be open to visitors starting from Tuesday 4 October 2022 and until the end of the month, on the days and hours of public opening of the Municipal Offices.
