Drugged and fleeing the police, a driver is finally arrested in Luxembourg
Saturday afternoon, a man was finally arrested by the police after fleeing a control and escaping the roadblock set up. A stormy arrest.
Around 1:50 p.m. Saturday, a police patrol carried out a road check in Tétange, rue Principale. When suddenly, a driver who approached the checkpoint abruptly drove away from it, at high speed. Seeing him spinning in the direction of Dudelange, the police then decided to set up a roadblock, reports the police this Sunday morning.
Arriving at the scene, the driver also tried to avoid the police. He entered rue Thomas-Byrne, brushed against a stationary car and then lost control of his vehicle. His car then hit a tree and finally came to a stop. The man left the passenger compartment, went straight towards the officers who then tried to immobilize him. A fight broke out.
During the examination that followed, a quick test determined that the man was under the influence of the drug. In addition, a large quantity of tobacco was seized in the vehicle.
The prosecution was informed and ordered the arrest of the driver and the confiscation of the car and its contents. The man was presented to the investigating judge.
