San Marino. Libera sul Carcheggione: “The government has the courage to carry on the negotiations with Sinpar in the interest of the citizens”
“How much will the parking still cost us?”.
He asks Freeunderlining in a statement that “the troubled history of multi-storey car park P9built in the early nineties, it still does not find peace ”.
“We recall that in 1990 an agreement was stipulated that has already brought out about sixty million euro boxes from the state coffers and will oblige the community, until 2033, to pay the company Sinpar (formerly the Rosso company) a guaranteed minimum today established at 1,600,000 euros, compared to the original 1,860,000 euros – reads the note from the opposition party -. In fact, to date the state spends one million and 600 thousand euros, plus 50 thousand euros of salaries and 150 thousand euros of ordinary maintenance for a total of 2 million and 250 thousand euros. L’average income for the stateanalyzing the data of the last 15 years, thus leads to one remittance of 350/400 thousand euros per year“.
The controversy does not end here: “In a nutshell, the State collects on all car parks in the area but pays a guaranteed minimum to the private company; a mechanism that also in the recent past has led to a series of distortions that were our state also highlighted by the Court. In fact, a 2017 ruling invited, in a too veiled way, to regulate the convention too penalizing for the State and even to implement a ‘due compensation’ given that the management of the mechanism led, over the years, to lack of controls and not careful with respect to the reduction of waste and inefficiencies, being in any case ensured an economic success guaranteed by the State thanks to a guaranteed minimum disproportionate and never achieved by company revenues over the decades.
A situation that “should definitely be resolved definitively, but which for too many years has not found a correct resolution”.
Even the recent statements of the secretary Pedini Amatithat “on 2 August last he stated that he had found resistance to the negotiations with the private company, does not give us much hope, but to these heartfelt appeals, to which we are accustomed by secretaries of state who raise their voices but then from the mountains they give birth to mice, they have to follow concrete facts ”.
Actions that “however cannot coincide with the rumors that are running around in recent days and which would see Poste Spa involved in the acquisition of Parking 9 through a loan from Cassa di Risparmio equal to 12 million euros; therefore, Poste Spa, already in budget difficulty, would get into further debt to definitively acquire a parking space that the State has already paid at least 3 with the money of the deposits through the bank owned by the State ”.
Libera invites the government to “clarify these rumors that are chasing each other” and to “have the courage to pursue negotiations with Sinpar in the interest of citizens, already worried about the country’s difficulties, from hospital management to expensive bills , to debt and who do not deserve to see their resources wasted in favor of particularly questionable initiatives ”.
