A great settlement, but a failure nonetheless. Poland
At stake was a place in group B, in Thailand, which was held before the Dominican Republic 3-2, it stopped on the fourth control and 10 points. So the team in the last Saturday’s game was the leader, another better than better result. Top of the page to our rival, which quickly jumped back to five points (8: 3). Polish women gave the impression of being tense, they did not show the service. However, the nerves took hold and began to make up for the losses. Ebrar Karakurt was ineffective, and Agnieszka Korneluk was doing brilliantly on our side. When Magda Stysiak and Olivia Różański supported her, the advantage began to decrease. And after a series of services from 22 Różański websites at 17:18 it became: 18.
Even though it wasn’t, since she scored four consecutive points, a large number including Meryem Boz sending a difficult service. When the former volleyball player of Atom Trefl Sopot finally made a mistake, our team came out from 23:22, Różański and Stysiak recorded the next points after the counterattacks, and Poland became very rich. Opposite is one team of its champions, placed in the ranks of Karakurt, one of the best players in the world. In the second group of the 11 scoring patterns, her team has a well chosen base in point blocks. Biało managed to disconnect the loss with the current (20:20 after Weronika Szlagowska’s block), but one equal rival. They were lucky because, for example, they scored a point after an ace, when the ball caught the tape and fell into the field.
The match was very close. In the fourth polka, they jumped at 9: 5 after a counterattack used by Różański. Our volleyball players defended very well, Maria Stenzel was amazing, just like Stysiak. After her penalty for Karakurt and counterattack, it was 14: 9, and after the service ace 16:10. When the rivals made up for two points, Różański stopped with the Erdem block (18:12). White and red were great and when the nervousness ended, only volleyball was being shown. In the fourth stage, the set is to have four blocks, three of which in the decisive actions, and the last point was scored by Korneluk for keeping Hande Baladin.
Tie-break, which started well for ours, but from 4: 4 net it became hands-on. The Turkish women scored four more points, and the Polish women became nervous. For a while, because in a moment they took a walk and the effects came quickly. Korneluk blocked Zehra Gunes (8:10) and there was a controversy because they did not notice that, after being signed by Różan, she had rubbed against the red football spot. It is a pity because it could have been a turning point. Unfortunately, later our players spoiled two games and three games stopped. She used the first.
Turkey took first place in group B, and Poland came fourth, behind Turkey, Thailand and the Dominican Republic. Now all from group B will move to Łódź, where the second group stage will begin on October 4.
