Strike of September 29. 13% of strikers at the Toulouse Academy
In the Toulouse academy, 13% of teachers took part in the interprofessional strike movement of this Thursday, September 29, according to the Rectorate.
Announced since the summer, the day of this Thursday, September 29 is marked by an interprofessional strike in Toulouse, Occitanie and nationally. This social takes place at the initiative of the CGT, FSU and Solidaires unions. Two subjects are at the heart of the tensions: the pension reform taken into account by the government and the increase in wages in a context of inflation.
Transport, schools, health facilities and public services will be affected at different levels. In a context of recruitment crisis, the world of education was called upon to take part in this social movement.
Participation in the strike in the Toulouse Academy
The weighted average of the participation rate in the strike movement of this Thursday, September 29 is 13.07% for National Education staff in the Toulouse Academywhich includes the departments of the former Midi-Pyrénées, according to the Rectorate.
By demoting only the teaching staff, the participation rate rises to 13.46%. For those of the first degree, it is 13.30%. For secondary school teachers, the rate is 13.70%.
The demands of the unions
The Snuipp-FSU union, majority in the first degree, demands “a general increase in wages and 300 euros net for all immediately”.
On his side, Snes-FSUthe main union at the second level, wants a “pay increase of at least 10% to preserve the living conditions of all agents and public service agents and, then, a multi-year plan to make up for the losses suffered”.
