Portugal: the country where children dream, but where young people do not live | Megaphone
If being old in Portugal is already very distressing, being young starts to be dangerous. I speak of danger to the extent that the prospects, of not being encouraged beyond that to the construction of dignity, do not foresee a better future with the policies learned so far.
A society must be governed with truth. And if everyone knows that days are coming, we are told that the way forward is exactly this correct one. This path is leading to despair, difficulty and the fear of not finding the stability to build a dignified life. All this because they lie. And they do it without any shame, believing that the younger ones don’t care about anything, don’t understand anything and don’t know what they want.
Those who have the sedentary capacity for a more prosperous and dignified future, freer and with more money to fulfill their dreams, if they keep it in the architecture of life, it is nothing more than a project of architecture of life drawn on tracing paper, comfortable, waiting for better days that will never come.
This is what I want to talk about. From dreams, from the will to do and create, from the will to give the country something that is valued. For this to happen, it takes political courage to govern without ideologies and demagogues, but with the necessary attitude of not being afraid of losing votes and power.
Always defend the youth, the first years of employment, the leaders of contributions and taxes, or what would in fact give more self-employed. All that they take from the couple in taxes is only used to pay the politicians, so they can later invent the tactic of a program with an old name, as is the case with the young IRS, which, after all, gives a day of coffee. if you need it is when seriously.
Young people who enter colleges with merit for what they have done over time, only to not get a decent room, leaving their academic path compromised, is unworthy.
To leave the parents’ house, there is a risk that the monthly salary will not be enough to be able to rent a T1.
But the State, the castrator of supply and desires, wants its share of taxes, fees and other such things.
We will arrive, that good and happy friends will feel a moment when every day they will allow it, and also for parents and days to allow that even far away you can be a little closer. Moreover, as happened in the 1960s, when most of the young people attacked to escape the colonial war, today we have news every day of a neighbor, friend or close family member who is departing from a destination where people can carry out part of their dreams, to be freer and, consequently, happier.
This country is aimless and aimless, on the verge of yet another serious economic crisis where, belatedly and badly, it decides the future, insisting on betting that it can save it: the youngest. If you just want to dream, then stop here, but if you want more than that, I know what you feel: that this country still doesn’t let you materialize anything and doesn’t tell you or give you proof of when you can do it.
