3 ideas for going out this Sunday for Heritage Day in Monaco
1. The Logoscope
For this new edition of European Heritage Day in the Principality, Le Logoscope invites you to discover or rediscover its workshops nestled on the heights of the Casino de Monte-Carlo: an experience to share around visits to workshops, meetings with artists, a group exhibition and an original tasting of local products by Agnès Roux’s Office des Menus Plaisirs.
In resonance with the 2022 theme, the diversity of research, practices and personalities working within the structure will be in the spotlight. Committed to so-called current artistic practices for 25 years, Le Logoscope, questioned, scrutinizes a world with complex territories, fragile biotopes in constant movement, starting with its home territory: the Principality of Monaco.
Location: 2, place de la Crémaillère – Monaco / Beausoleil. Exhibition, guinguette and visit of the workshops from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. FREE ENTRANCE. www.lelogoscope.com

3. The Monaco waste recovery plant
Very early on, the Principality of Monaco was concerned about its environment, given its urban, economic and cultural expansion. As early as 1898, the first household waste incineration plant was built. The second unit took over in 1938. The third and current factory built in the heart of the Fontvieille district was put on fire in 1980. The energy from the combustion is recovered in the form of electricity via a turbo alternator and in the form chilled water or hot water, in the neighboring thermo-refrigeration plant, for the purposes of air conditioning or heating of industrial and tertiary buildings.Location: 3 avenue de Fontvieille / boulevard Charles III “factory hall access”. Guided tour by registration: 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
