Senior Marketing Manager – Friendly Fire, Amsterdam / Villamedia

Who are we?
Friendly Fire is a young, dynamic and growing company with an informal, professional working atmosphere.
We are based in Amsterdam and are intensively involved in the organization of concerts and events and with the booking and management of national and international artists. We provide these artists with performances in clubs and festivals, planned careers, have contact with other involved parties such as documents, record companies, (tour) managers, publishers, etc. We work with and for artists such as Lana del Rey, Kensington, Yade Lauren, Måneskin , Krezip, Khruangbin, Big2, Caribou, Ry X, alt-J, Ilse DeLange, George Ezra and many others. We also produce events such as Best Kept Secret, Tuckerville, Indian Summer Festival, Live At Amsterdamse Bos, we are involved in hundreds of bookings from Dutch and foreign artists in the club and festival circuit and we have a theater company.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager as soon as possible, with at least five years of experience in a position.
In this position, as an experienced person, you are directly involved in our largest festivals, concerts and projects. The newly established marketing department offers service to all departments of Friendly Fire. The focus for this new position will mainly be on the broad outlines and activities of Friendly Fire, shows and festivals.
A unique opportunity for someone who always sees possibilities and wants to shape further with extensive knowledge into a great reality that appeals to everyone’s imagination: live music!
For example, we want to delve further into larger themes and changes such as setting up and improving CRM, e-commerce, our sales channels, customer service, changing legislation, CDP, databases, marketing and social media.
We are looking for someone with expertise and experience in managing projects such as corporate identities, long-term campaigns, website building, designing new work systems and supervising process changes. We are looking for someone who identifies and tackles this, but who is also willing to make serious progress with this with colleagues.
You work in a marketing team with five other colleagues with whom you will work together in our projects. You like music and live music, but experience in music marketing/festival marketing is not a hard requirement. We have also been open to someone who can introduce new situations, experiences, and bring an experience, as a personal and business addition to the existing team.
The work included the following:
– determine marketing strategy for our biggest festivals, projects and shows;
– Drawing up/or assessing marketing plans and sales strategy based on received and own insight; Monitoring (the progress of) the plans, budgets and communication to all parties involved;
– Entering into media partnerships for the benefit of our activities;
– Working on introduction and implementation of new trends and missing marketing activities;
– establishing and maintaining relationships with various external stakeholders; artists, managers, media parties, media teams, advertising agencies, advertising agencies, etc;
– Analysis of the various data that we have at our disposal and this processing as a basis for and evaluation of our work;
Who are you?
You have relevant relevant risks (5+ years) with marketing, in at least three of the marketing placements made in the vacancy.
You bring new, radical, new contacts and a fresh look at our company and how we have set up our marketing. Our ambitions are high and there is a lot of unexplored territory in marketing. We are specifically looking for someone who, with that in mind, wants us to get quite creative.
You have experience with various campaigns, you are able to do them yourself and you have a track record in that area. You can comfortably speak with (new) external parties and take the lead in placing orders, negotiating and taking the lead. You speak the language of various third parties such as advertising agencies, out-of-home agencies and other companies in the sector. You are familiar with Customer Data Platforms.
Of course you are communicative and always working with the latest trends. Due to the nature of the position, there is sporadic evening or weekend work, for example at concerts and festivals. Ultimately, you are good at autonomously executing more tasks at the same time, determining the design and monitoring a lot of work at the same time.
