Rediscover the Principality thanks to European Heritage Day
It will certainly not be a week like the others, because this Sunday will be the 27th European Heritage Day in the Principality. The opportunity to visit around fifty sites in and around Monaco for free, including places that are sometimes closed to the public…
From the Grands Appartements of the Prince’s Palace, to the Cathedral of Monaco, through the various parks and gardens, the choice is wide! Placed under the sign of Sustainable Heritage, this day offers its share of activities. Monaco Tribune also offers you some ideas:
The frescoes of the Prince’s Palace
If you hadn’t yet discovered the superb Italian Renaissance frescoes unveiled last July, know that the Prince’s Palace will open its doors to you free of charge from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. this Sunday. The opportunity also to discover the redevelopment of the Grands Appartements, after several months of closure for renovation.
The Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology
Take advantage this Sunday of workshops and guided tours of this museum founded by Prince Albert I in 1902. Children and families are invited to enjoy the activities, stands, demonstrations and “Sustainable Heritage” games, as well as Mellina-Histoires Vivantes (an investigation-game for families). Meeting at the Museum, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The establishment offers a guided tour every hour (appointment at the reception of the Museum), to discover new collections.
The Exotic Garden
Another legacy left by Prince Albert I: the Exotic Garden, which will exceptionally reopen its doors this Sunday, and until October 8, for the exhibition “The Exotic Garden, a source of inspiration”. To be discovered this Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., then until October 8, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
