Turismo de Portugal envious request for payment of the Covid-19 credit line with data from wrong companies

It is alleged that the entity responsible for the financing line, the Portugal tourismenvious an email with the contractor’s payment request, but with data from another company – name and process number. In addition, payment data and the amount owed were made available.
The Treasury Support Line for Micro and Small Tourism Enterprises was presented in March 2020 by the Government as a measure to mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. According to data from april 2022the line a maintenance of 41,325 jobs in the sector in the last two years. Initially, a period of two years was foreseen for the repayment of this credit line, later extended to four years.
Contacted by Polígrafo, official source of Portugal tourism confirms that, “from a computer failure, if as a result a mistake in the first notifications [de pagamento] dispatched on September 14″. He clarifies that the aforementioned error “occurred only in the body text of notifications and translated into no update in it do recipient company name of each notification and the corresponding process number“.
The national tourist authority notes that the inaccuracy”did not affect the payment details of eachthat were correctly notified to each destination, nor an identification of the process in the title of the notification”.
Asked about the possibility of personal data leak due to the success, the entity guarantees that it was never in question. “There was no leakage of data since the error that occurred, there was no impact on personal data. On the other hand, it was not conveyed to any information or data from third parties”, he assures.
