A successful casting, a thrilling scenario… The series The Black Butterflies has already been mentioned almost unanimously. Tour in particular to Lille and in the Nord Pas de Calaisshe will broadcast from this Thursday, September 22, 2022 on art.
Where was it shot?
For eight weeks, the series was shot in very different places in the territory: from Lille to Tourcoing via Roubaix, Cassel, Béthune and Bruay-la-Buissière.
“Albert’s house, a place of confessions, is located in Hendecourt-lès-Cagnicourt, in the Pas-de-Calais”, says one on the side of Pictanovo, an association which promotes and supports audiovisual and cinematographic production in the region.
And the producers of the series justify their choice: “Visually, artistically, by the diversity of its landscapes and its characterful settings, our needs (city, countryside, sea), Hauts-de-France allows a very beautiful setting for our Black Butterflies”.
The story
The Black Butterflies is a very dark thriller. Adrien, 40, a tormented novelist, while waiting for inspiration, writes the lives of illustrious strangers. An old man hires her to tell him his greatest love story: Solange, the story of a life… but also his past as a serial killer.
In the cast of this series by Bruno Merle and Olivier Abbou, we find, among others, Nicolas Duvauchelle, Niels Arestrup, Alice Belaïdi and Sami Bouajila.
