Slovakia and South Korea will strengthen relations: Naď signed a memorandum of cooperation with its Korean counterpart
During their official visit to South Korea, they held several working meetings in Seoul, including bilateral negotiations with the International Ministry of Defense. In addition to deepening bilateral cooperation, the central topic of the negotiations was also Russian aggression in Ukraine. “South Korea is not only a guarantor of security in the region of Northeast Asia, but also an important international security actor. The signing of the joint memorandum will adjust the conditions of our cooperation in the political-military field, which will allow us to intensify mutual cooperation in many aspects,” said Naď.
They also talked about cooperation in the field of military cyber defense
negotiations with key partners also included discussions about the possibilities of applying Slovak companies in South Korea and in the wider region, or the question of the involvement of Slovakia’s potential in the field of science and research. Naď also spoke with his ministry colleague about the possibilities of future cooperation in the field of military cyber defense. In view of its military-political anchoring and economic-technological potential, the Republic of Korea represents a promising partner for cooperation in this area for the Slovak Republic.

The head of the Slovak Ministry of Defense also expressed support for South Korea’s diplomatic efforts to maintain stability in the region. “We welcome all activities aimed at ensuring the Republic of Korea’s initiative of complete denuclearization of the DPRK, prosperity and peace on the Korean Peninsula. Naď concluded, highlighting the key importance of the international community in this context.
