They will now resolve specific steps with the mentioned company, which aim to bring the construction of the parking garage closer. The plan is to build here for up to 2,000 vehicles, with 1,400 spaces available for the capital and 550 more for the business center.
Description: The New Town Hall building, seat of the Prague Municipality
The capital is continuing its plan to build a parking garage in Zličín in cooperation with the private company CGI Metropole, s.r.o. The “Head of Terms” will serve to start the planned construction process in the near future, also based on the cooperation memorandum.
“The idea to place a P+R parking lot with a capacity of well over a thousand spaces arose during negotiations with the company CGI Metropole, s.r.o., which has long-term plans to expand the Zličín shopping center. The proximity of the metro station and the possibility of a direct two-way connection to the Rozvadovská spojka are features that are suitable for the location of the parking garage. The project showed that the capacity for the capital could be up to 1,400 spaces, which is a very interesting capacity at the entrance of the D5 highway to Prague, and would de facto be the largest P+R parking lot in Prague. Compared to some older projects in this location, this is a realistic solution, which we will discuss further. We are also preparing another P+R parking lot in the locality at the future Depo Zličín station, which will be located near the Prague ring road,” says Adam Scheinherr, deputy mayor of the city. m of Prague for the area of transport.
It was on the basis of the Memorandum that CGI Metropole, s.r.o. prepared a study of the feasibility of a P+R regime parking garage on land owned by it. According to this study, it is possible to place a parking garage with a capacity of up to 2,000 parking spaces on the land in an above-ground parking garage with a total of six above-ground floors of usable roof area for additional parking spaces. This building would house both the P+R parking lot and the shopping center’s commercial parking lot, which would also use underground parking in the same building.
The Head of Terms currently do not oblige the capital to invest, but describe and resolve a future agreement that would already be for the head. m Prague binding. The assumption is that CGI will build a parking lot for the capital city with an estimated cost of 1.334 billion crowns excluding VAT (finance will be provided by the metropolis), while Prague will have the right to use 1,400 parking spaces. As part of its construction, an additional 550 parking spaces will be created, which, according to the assumption, will disappear on the CGI company’s land due to the construction of the house. The newly built parking lot will be owned by CGI Metropole, s.r.o., but with the burden of the capital city.
The parking lot is currently planned with a two-way connection to the Rozvadovská spojka, so that Řevnická street would not be more burdened. The advantage of the house is the walking distance between P+R and the Zličín metro station (approx. 350 meters from the farthest parking spot), which will be a motivation for drivers to stop the vehicle and continue by public transport. At the same time, there is no need for further subsequent investments in the infrastructure of the metro station or the existing transport terminal.
