The number of villages, of which only the names remain on the map, is continuously increasing. In the village Şestacionly one district of Singerei remained monk and a family, who comes here occasionally. 18 years ago, 19 people lived in the village. “The old are dead, the young are gone,” say the people of the neighboring village, Clickwith a little over a hundred inhabitants, he transmits tv journal.
Generations have grown up in these houses, and children play in the streets. Today this village is deserted. The houses are about to fall, and the gates are rusty. Trees have grown on the roads and access to some houses becomes impossible. In the village of Şestaci lives a monk and a single family. Just a few kilometers away from the village of Șestaci, we find the village of Clișcăuți, with a little over a hundred inhabitants. People say that this village too will have the same fate – no shop, no medical point, kindergarten or school, no bus or minibus… The villagers manage as they can.
Since the beginning of 2014, the population with habitual residence of the Republic of Moldova has been continuously decreasing, reaching 2.6 million inhabitants at the beginning of the current year, of which about 40% is the urban population and about 60% – the rural population, according to the data of the National Bureau . of Statistics.
