POLITICS IN OWN WORDS Mayor of Prague 2, member of the city council m of Prague for ODS on their Facebook on September 19 to care for the elderly
Prague has been forgetting care for the elderly for a long time. At the same time, all seniors certainly deserve quality and sensitive care. They worked hard all their lives and left behind tangible values. I consider it our duty to make the autumn of their lives more pleasant. The way we take care of them is above all our calling card.
We in Prague 2 are aware of this and try to help them in all areas. Years ago, I founded the Dvojka club for seniors, our Social Services Center offers them help for caregivers, home health care, possibly accompanying doctors and other services. Dvojka, as one of the few city districts, also offers relief apartments and a house with palliative care under one roof. Palliative care is a topic that is not talked about much in the Czech Republic. It is in its natural way. Few people want to talk about pain and dying, especially when it involves our loved ones. This is one of the reasons this extremely important care is neglected.
Not only for my years of experience in the field of care for the elderly, I am now applying for your support in the upcoming elections and I would like to raise this area, which has been neglected by the municipality, to the highest level!
Our parents and grandparents deserve a dignified old age and we owe it to them.
