Amsterdam battlefield in new shooting game Call of Duty
Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is based on the city center of Amsterdam. This is evident from images of the Beta version, which some gamers can already play.
The map is set in and around the fictional Breenbergh Hotel & Spa, which seems to lie between Central Station and a canal. Players will be dropped off at the hotel entrance by helicopter or in a van at the back. Standing in front of the main entrance not too realistic branded police cars and a fire engine.
It is an expensive hotel with luxurious rooms, which also has a roof terrace. There is an extensive description on the site of the shooting game off the map. Despite the fact that mainly played, such as the upcoming killstreak, are still possible. The hotel has an ‘open-air design’.
It is not the first time that Amsterdam has been featured in a version of Call of Duty. In the ‘campaign mode’ of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War from 2020 was part of the Red Light District, where two residents even talked about a ‘Portie.. Portie.. Portie Bitterballen’. Details like this seem to be missing in the new Multiplayer map.
The game will go on sale October 28.
