Toulouse. Controlled Origins, a week-long urban festival
From this Saturday September 17 to 24 is held the 19e edition of the Controlled Origins festival. For a week, he goes through several places in Toulouse and goes from one art to another.
Urban cinema, music, stand-up and a forum broadcast on the airwaves, all this coexists in a single festival. Controlled Origins holds Sat 19e editing over a week, from this Saturday 17 until September 24, 2022.
For this edition, the filmmaker Pascal Tessaud a carte blanche at the Utopia of Borderouge and Jamel Comedy Club invites himself to the theater of Mazades. A great evening of concerts is planned outdoors at the Régal stadium and a radio forum is organized at the Ernest Renan cultural center.
The Controlled Origins program
Debut of the festival this Saturday, September 17 at 4 p.m., with Cinema Suburbs. Director Pascal Tessaud has selected five short films about the suburbs : Rap to conquer (Sonadie San), Black soldier (Jimmy Laporal Trésor), Merlich merlich (Hannil Ghilas), the City of Light (Pascal Tessaud), and Splendides (Meryem Bahia Arfaoui). After a discussion session with the teams, the award-winning film by Pascal Tessaud, Brooklyn, will be screened.
The sequel to Controlled Origins will be on September 21, with stand-up. Comedy of the Jamel troupe will be found at the theater of Mazades. Meeting with Farid Chamekh, Félix Dhjan, Redouanne Harjane, Ayoub Marceau, Rey Mendes and Louis Chappey, the new nuggets of humor selected by Jamel Debbouze.
On September 23, travel to the 90s with a forum radio around a story. That of the festival It’s moving northwho hosted at the time neighborhood caravan in Toulouse, and which inspired the founders of Controlled Origins.
Finally, grand closing concert September 24 with Sofiane Saïdi, a raï player, Bongi, a South African feminist artist, and Rim’k, a rapper from the old school.
