Jesle Londynská Street, a sprawling facility founded by Praha 2, underwent extensive renovation in recent months. The town hall cost 33.9 million crowns. The town hall informed about this in a press release.
Our crèche provides care for children up to three years of age. There is still a lot of interest in this service among parents. There are many people who need to take care of their offspring and devote themselves fully to their work. I am therefore very happy that we managed to complete the modernization of the nursery before the start of the school year. And parents can thus guarantee that their children will receive the best care,” said the mayor of Prague 2, Alexandra Udženija (ODS), who is in charge of social areas.
“Children should grow up in a pleasant and stimulating environment that also meets the strictest safety and hygiene standards. Which was the main goal of the just-completed reconstruction of not only the main areas of the crèche, but also the technical background and social facilities,” said Deputy Mayor Jan Korseska (ODS) for the area of finance and investments of Prague 2.
The building underwent a reconstruction of the entire catering business, the kitchen area, and the restoration of the freight elevator for transporting food. In the nursery area, new partitions and windows were also built, new floors and tiles were laid, and electrical wiring, central heating wiring and heating elements were replaced. The device also got new air conditioning and lighting, which is now much more pleasant than the original fluorescent, and also adjustable.
The crèche in Londýnská Street, which is run by the Center for Social Services Prague 2, is primarily intended for families with children permanently living in Prague 2. The capacity is completely filled, currently 48 people between the ages of one and three attend.
