The Andorra Taste gastronomic congress will have a second edition
The popular days will be held during this weekend
ESCALDES-ENGORDANY (ANDORRA), 16 Sep. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Andorra Taste gastronomic congress will have a second edition next year, and most likely it will be held again in Escaldes-Engordany.
This was announced by the Minister of Tourism of Andorra, Jordi Torres, and the Senior Consul of Escaldes-Engordany, Rosa Gili, this Friday during the inauguration of the popular Andorra Taste.
After the closing of the professional conferences of the congress, which have been developed during this week and ended this Thursday, Torres has made a very positive assessment of the event, in which people from 26 countries have participated, with 350 face-to-face attendees and 650 people who have followed him by ‘streaming’.
The minister has assured that all the chefs who have used in the event have agreed that the congress allows the area to be positioned as a “high mountain gastronomy destination”, and that they are willing to collaborate so that next year there will be second edition.
“The challenge will be greater after a very successful first edition,” commented Torres, who has assured that this second edition will be held and that it will have new elements, maintaining the seal of high-mountain cuisine as its ‘leitmotif’.
Another of the objectives set for the next edition is to “democratize cooking”, taking it to centers for the elderly, the ‘esplais’, and trying to get people to eat better and healthier, according to him.
“QUALITY” EVENT
Gili has celebrated that the town has hosted the congress, because “they are the type of events that have to be done, they give life and are of quality”.
He has expressed the desire that the event be maintained over time and has assured that Escaldes-Engordany “has all the numbers” to host it again.
POPULAR DAYS
The congress will close this weekend with the celebration of the popular Andorra Taste, a conference that will serve as a gastronomic meeting point to enjoy high mountain cuisine through the proposals of Andorran chefs.
Until Sunday there will be tastings of dishes from Andorran cuisine, ‘showcookings’, children’s workshops and live music.
