Eight of our loanees were in action in midweek, evenly distributed on Tuesday evening and Wednesday evening.
FC Copenhagen 0-0 Sevilla
It ended goalless between FC Copenhagen and Europa League experts from Sevilla, who can quickly bounce back since a third place in the group in no way seems unrealistic since they are in a group with Manchester City and Dortmund.
Her played Alex Tells the whole match for Sevilla, and the lack of long-range goals is a good sign, and from what we have read about the match, it seems that Telles had some OK offensive contributions as well, mainly in the second half, but without having had some big fight.
After this match and the loss against City, Dortmund will be waiting in the next Champions League matches. It will soon be games that decide whether Sevilla play in the Champions League or the Europa League after Christmas.
Millwall 0-2 Queens Park Rangers
QPR won 2-0 away to Millwall, and it’s only goal difference that prevents them from being in the playoffs.
Ethan Laird played the whole game for QPR and he delivered a good game again. West London Sports gives Laird the grade 8 on the player exchange.
They write that he first targeted offensively and very solid defensively, and write that this was a very good performance by the on-loan Manchester United player.
Laird also prevents back-to-back goals towards the end of the match with an important block on a shot that was on its way into the goal.
82′ 🤯 How did it turn out?!
Laird makes a miraculous goal-saving block before Flemming’s shot crashes back off the crossbar.

Reading 0-3 Sunderland
Amad Diallo came on in the 74th minute of this away game against Reading, but by then the game was already decided and finished.
The Ivorian got the grade 7 too jumped in by Sunderland Echowho writes that Amad is getting into some very good areas and that he has big problems (for Reading).
The 20-year-old needed a good slot now, as Sunderland have injury problems in attack, and hopefully that can at least mean more playing time for our man.

West Bromwich Albion 2-3 Birmingham City
Birmingham won their second away game in a row with a 3-2 win against WBA in this local fixture.
Hannibal Meibri must probably play his way into the team through good subs, but failed to stand out significantly after coming on in the 76th minute of this match.
United legend Steve Bruce is the manager of the WBA, and is under considerable pressure after this loss.

Olympique Marseille 0-1 Eintracht Frankfurt
Marseille has started the season well in the domestic league, but cannot exactly be the same about how it has gone in the Champions League.
On Tuesday evening, they suffered their second defeat in a row when they lost 0-1 at home against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Eric Bailly played from the start, and was involved in the back-to-back goal a few minutes before the break, when his takedown of the ball was intercepted by a Frankfurt player, and the away team a few seconds later had played through and scored. Then it must be said that Bailly’s mistake could have been corrected quickly too, so he is not alone to blame for this, but he was in any case involved in the back-to-back goal.
Bailly was sacrificed in the 65th minute as Marseille made an attacking switch hoping to turn the game around.
Sporting won 2-0 against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in the second match in Group D. Marseille is now at the very bottom with 0 points, Eintracht Frankfurt and Tottenham have 3 points, while Sporting stands with 6 points.

Preston North End 1-1 Burnley
As so often before this season, it was a draw and few goals for Preston, but this was actually the first league game they have had this season where both teams have scored – and it happened in game number nine!
3-2 is the goal difference after these nine games.
Alvaro Fernandez started on the bench for Vincent Kompany’s Burnley but was substituted in the 64th minute.
Fernández was keen and played with a fine intensity, getting in some crosses during his time on the pitch. Unfortunately, the precision of the passes was not quite at the top, so he clearly did not contribute to any home win this time.

Harrogate Town 0-1 Salford City
I Ethan Galbraith’s first game as a Salford City player, it ended 2-2, in a game where he came on at the end without managing to make a difference.
Here he played from the start for the first time Ammies, and it was 0-0 when he was replaced in the 65th minute. In the first half, he had a low shot attempt that went off target.
Matty Lund, who was the player who came on for Galbraith, scored the winning goal in overtime of the game. That victory ensured that Neil Wood’s team is just one point behind the direct promotion place.

Woking 3-0 Oldham Athletic
Charlie Wells and Oldham visited Kingfield Stadium in the pleasant small town of Woking on Tuesday evening, but it was anything but pleasant for John Sheridan’s team.
The home team won 3-0. Wellens played the whole match, and at 0-0 had a nice pass through to a teammate which could have led to Oldham taking the lead, but the shot hit the crossbar. Who knows how this could have gone if Wellens had the goal-scoring pass in that situation?
Oldham are 16th in the National League with eight points from eight games.
