Ice hockey: Hockey in France -: Annecy vs Valence – Friendly – Annecy vs Valence
It starts strong
The first thirty seconds of play see a shot on target for each of the teams, without danger for the goalkeepers who push them back. The inhabitants of Annecy create great chances, and on the 7thth minute it is the Finnish Jaakko Heiskanen, for his 2th season in the lakeside city, which delivers its team [1-0].
At 15’45, Raphaël Papa gives himself another opportunity, without success. But twenty seconds later, it passes thanks to the first but of a long series marked by the new recruit Paul Schmitt (former Corsair of Nantes in D1), served by Victor Vitton-Mea [2-0].

Less than a minute later (16’31), Niklas Westerlund adds a layer [3-0]. At 18’40, his Finnish compatriot Jaakko Heiskanen seems to seal the fate of the Valentinois for this first period [4-0].
The Lynx, probably frustrated with this start, smoke 2 minutes of penalty for incorrect loading.
On the balance sheet of this first period, few opportunities for Valencia, unlike Annecy who, even without playing particularly collective, multiplied the opportunities. It paid off.
It wasn’t a keeper thing
The start of the 2th Thirds is dynamic with many shots in the direction of the Valencia cage, and it is only after a minute of play that Hugo Moncenix displays the counter at 5-0.
The 24th minute of play offers a dangerous action to the Valentinois in front of the goal of Annecy but Tristan Mongellaz remains vigilant.
It is now the turn of Lubin Louvier, assisted by Allan Dugat, to score. The Valencia team suffered the match and changed their goalkeeper at 7-0 and 25 minutes into the game (#38 replaced by #93).
Despite everything, new but a minute later for Annecy [8-0].

Valencia take penalty for incorrect charge; unsurprisingly, Annecy leads fairly quickly 9-0, and also decides to change goalkeeper (#47 Tristan Morgellaz replaced by #81 Jessy Dugat).
At the 34th minute, Valence finally manages to unlock its counter after a short moment of hesitation; the puck just crossed the line bouncing against the inside post, and the ensuing strike was stopped by the Annecy goalkeeper. After consultation between referees, the goal is measured and awarded (at #19).
The game is released on the side of Annecy, which dares more, even if it means being too greedy and being guilty of a few criminal offenses (to hang and hold the stick).
Tempers are heating up
From the first twenty seconds of this third, Valence offers itself a great opportunity with (#19) who leaves alone, but whose initiative will not be crowned with success.
At the 42th minute, a fine action by Paul Schmitt assisted by Hugo Moncenix takes Annecy’s goal tally to 2 figures [10-1].
At the 45th, penalty for Valence (#20) for high stick. Niklas Westerlund will cut this one short after just 7 seconds [11-1].

Score at 49th a powerful shot from Victor Vitton-Mea, who from the blue finds the Valentinois nets [12-1]. It is only a few seconds later that Jaakklo Heiskanen pushes the nail a little further, assisted by Niklas Westerlund [13-1].
51′: Paul Schmitt, again, managed a puck throw between the pads of (#93): and 14.
At the 55th, Valence misses a great opportunity by getting bogged down behind the Annecy goal after crossing the ice rink. The people of Valence are frustrated, the inhabitants of Annecy galvanized; tempers flare.
The tension is very palpable in the last 2 minutes of the match. 44 seconds from the end, a heavy load puts a Valentinois on the ground, knocked out (he will go out on a stretcher), burst into a fight. Minutes of fouls are raining down, a regrettable scene for a warm-up match.
Final score: 14-1, but this severe score should allow Thibaud Saintecroix, coach of Valence, to make the necessary adjustments.
