The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova reconfirms the position 200 days after the beginning of the Russian invasion in Ukraine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova reminded today that during the 200 days of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, thousands of innocent civilians were killed.
In this sense, the diplomacy from Chisinau reiterated that “all those responsible must be held accountable for their actions in accordance with international law“.
“The civilian population continues to suffer heavy losses in this war, including as a result of the recent totally unjustified attacks on civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv, which left several regions of the neighboring country without electricity. This barbaric behavior, in total disregard for civil life, must stop immediately” it is shown in a reaction of the MFA from Chisinau.
For his part, Nicu Popescu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, condemned Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s civil infrastructure, including water reserves and a thermal power plant in Kharkiv. “Targeting civilians or vital infrastructure for their survival is a war crime“, officially emphasized in a post on Twitter.
We note that on Sunday, September 11, Russia intensified its attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. As a result, several regions were left without electricity and water.
