Marek Šulc in the program “Music in the Millennium”, this time as a guest
The long-time presenter and music director of Radio Classic Praha is ending a professional era at our station.
Marek Sulc studied singing and music management at the University of Prague Music Academy of Performing Arts. He was a radio host for 15 years Classic Prague, whose broadcast he also prepared as music director. As a singer, I was a member of the ensemble in 2004-2018 Schola Gregoriana Pragensisin 2010 he also performed as a member of the vocal ensemble at several concerts Bobby McFerrin. Together with Martin Prokeš founded a singing duo in 2016 KCHUNwhich released an album in 2019 Purgatio.
He is currently the project coordinator Cream 200 and a member of the artistic council of the festival Lipa Musica – on it, among other things, this year September 24th will perform in a new arrangement of the song Stabat Mater contemporary composer Marc Rosano. Marek Šulc is also engaged in pedagogic activities and from 2020 he teaches at Department of Music Production Prague HAMU.
He will talk about his beginnings in radio, his studies at HAMU, the most interesting guests in the program “Music in the Millennium”, singing early music, the legacy of Bedřich Smetana and many other topics in the program premiered in Tuesday, September 13 at 7:00 p.m. Reruns are scheduled for Friday, September 16. at 21:00 and Saturday 17.9. at 11:00 a.m.
