Mal Milan Sodoma left Vykov for Prague. He found his home in Koch
Koe is such a badass Cinderella. Many people are famous, even with their peaceful life and the hecticness of neighboring Smoch and Homolka, they seem like they are from another world.
Their remoteness is also evidenced by the fact that they were discovered by developers in recent years. The two towns of Smchov were surrounded by Pitom Koa, they became an independent town and, after joining Greater Prague, an independent district, including Jinonice and Motol.
On the green slopes, the First Republic’s residential building Na Cibulkch grew up, and down in the mine the slum colony Na Popelkch, which was colorfully described by Karel apek in Lidovch novinych in April 1921 (the text was also published in the book Pictures from Home).
The area between the villa building and the forest park of the Cibulka estate was filled with houses for long-term residents during the first years of the Republic. The famous neighbors remembered at least the street names after the actors of the First Republic.
Originally, they were one-story houses, gradually the owner added a floor, acquired the ground floor and cellar, and created a nice typical house for the family. We were looking for an apartment with a garden and this house enchanted us at first sight with its sensitive reconstruction, old garden and its location near the forest, smiles Milan Sodoma. The address is symbolic, his wife, Daniela Sodomov, is the producer and author of the plays Meda, Werich and the summer novel Marta at the Kampa Museum’s Summer Stage.
Neither of them knew Kopi, before they lived in Vrovice and enjoyed the proximity of the center, the hustle and bustle of the city and the buzz of the bees. I was surprised at how accessible Koe is in terms of transport. You can take the metro to Jinonic, you can be in the center in ten minutes by car, the train stop is a step away from the house, explains Milan.
In general, it seems to me that you still don’t realize how great life is in our country, and in Prague it is combined with the advantages of both a large city and a small city. You can walk everywhere quickly, and you can get around the center in 1.5 hours, public transport is safe and reliable, all amenities are available and the services are good. Low-rise buildings are more psychologically friendly compared to glass-enclosed old buildings. I’m always surprised at how many parks and greenery Prague has, Milan first.
Inside revealed
Milan moved to Prague at the age of 18 because he wanted to study art. He first studied industrial design in Uherská Hraditsi, and from the age of 15 he was used to t sm.
I consider Hradit to be one of the most beautiful Czech cities. You can feel the folklore in it, at the turn of the millennium, grandmothers used to go there in costume and the joy of tradition was honored at every step. It shaped my aesthetic perception to a great extent, explains Milan.
In Prague, he joined the middle school again and studied graphic design. He devoted himself to this for many years, but he decided to go freelance and start a small business.
My lifelong goal is to be authentic, I try to recognize the influences around me and reveal my self. Artistic creation is an excellent technique, explains Milan Sodoma, who learned to paint through self-study and experiments.
After the early geometric and abstract examples, he mainly paints women. Use this and a sponge, in my name also a father and various objects with an interesting texture.
Yours what I ctm. I’m having fun, I don’t know what will happen. Of course, I have a certain idea, but once I get started, I absorb the image and paint according to my intuition. It’s similar to a road trip, you know where you’re going, but what song you’ll see and enjoy there, you can’t fill it up, says Milan.
Milan Sodoma (37)At the age of 15, he left his native Vykov near Brno for an internship in Uherskho Hradit, where he studied industrial design. He wanted to make art, which is why he moved to Prague at the age of 18 studied graphic design at the Stedn prumyslov kol grafick (Hellichovka). He worked as an illustrator, and at the age of 30 he decided to devote himself fully to his own creations. His wife Daniela runs the Summer Camp Museum. |
His ernobl paintings are very minimalistic, and pesto vs pitahuj with their depth. The hardest thing is to know the end, one more move can ruin me irreversibly. You have to be able to stop your energy, says Milan, who goes to the Cibulka forest park to take a break from creating.
He built his studio in the basement, which has a glass wall and an entrance to the garden. It is true that his name is not his entrance to the studio in Pragovec, but instead of a 40-minute journey down the stairs, he can meet his wife during the day. Daniela has set up a study in the attic, and together they imagine mutual closeness and strong energy and just enough privacy. Go for walks and discover new places in Koch.
Krsa’s hideout
Koe originated as a farming village, which was surrounded by fields and later vineyards from the 10th century. Homesteads gradually appeared among them, after which poetic local names remain today. The Ringhoffer family lived in neo-classical Kavalrce, which manufactures railway carriages and luxury saloon trains for European monarchs.
Vhlas j bag provided films hvzdy. In the late 1920s, director Karel Lama built a film studio in the pavilion built by Jan Kotra and shot his films there. The actor Theodor Pitk (the father of the late actress) ran a canteen here. The promising development was not stopped by the economic crisis, but in June 1929.
In Jinonick, the estate of the Turbos from the middle of the 18th century, which is named after Frantik Xaver Turbo, the royal councilor of the Chamber of Deputies, is disintegrating.
It is very famous for the late resident Ji Trnka, who built a studio here in the years 1938-1958 and wrote and illustrated a fantastic book about a cat, a dwarf and curious boys based on the mysteries of the garden.
In the years 1817-1826, Bishop Leopold Thun had the Cibulka farmstead redeveloped in the Baroque style and planted it in a large English park with small buildings and sculptures. I’m going to open it. During your walk, you will come across a stone lookout from which you can see Jinonice, Motol, Strahov, altnek, a broken gate with a wall, a statue of Diana, etc., to Milan Sodoma.
A community center operates in Bval Hjenze, and a children’s hospice is to be established in the dilapidated Cibulka. Bval engineering company Walter and spol. he remembered the modern office-residential complex Waltrovka. They make motorcycles, scooters, cars and aircraft engines, remember the sculptures of David Ernho and revitalized the factory building.
Let’s stop here at Prosecco Flowers, where they not only have beautiful bouquets, but also great flowers, macaroons and prosecco. On the terrace of the eck restaurant Filema, feel like you’re on vacation with moe. On the corner they also have an Czech pastry shop with unrivaled desserts. Otherwise, there aren’t many busy businesses here, which is probably the only disadvantage of Ko, Milan Sodoma laughs.
