MoMu launches Fashion & Sustainability Walk | Antwerp
AntwerpSince this month, MoMu has launched a new one on top, the popular Fashion Walk. The MoMu Fashion & Sustainability Walk illustrates the many facets of sustainability on the basis of the Antwerp fashion scene.
The MoMu Fashion Walk has become a household name among fashion fanatics. With the lighting for sustainability, it was time to also become that link with the Antwerp fashion scene. That is why MoMu has been offering a second option since September: the MoMu Fashion & Sustainability Walk.
The MoMu guide offers a new perspective on fashion and sustainability, and illustrates the stratification of Antwerp’s rich fashion scene and history. The walks take in key places, designers and movements in the fashion city, they are also treated to unique photo and video material from the archive of the MoMu library.

To map out this walk, MoMu sat down with Jasmien Wynants, sustainable fashion expert and co-author of Close The Loop – the circular mode tool. She works as a freelance sustainability coach for, among others, the Belgian fashion label Xandres. This walk does not show where you can shop ecologically and which labels are sustainable. We do want to show how principles of sustainability are ubiquitous,” she says.
The duties take two hours and take you along the streets of the Antwerp fashion quarter. You can book the MoMu Fashion & Sustainability Walk in a group. Individual visitors can join the boarding tours every second Saturday of the month. You can find more information here.
