As it was recalled, at the central event of the fashion week held between August 29 and September 4, more than two thousand visitors viewed the latest spring-summer trends at the Museum of Fine Arts.
The audience could see the latest pieces of a total of 24 brands, in addition to Hungarian designers, two and seven Ukrainian designers were also represented. As they wrote, the “stylistic overview was very mixed, those interested could see collections from classic style to streetwear brands”.
“There were those who traditionally envisioned spring with floral patterns and bright colors, while others devoted themselves to summer with models inspired by trips to the East. The elegant pieces were not missing either, the audience could also enjoy their sequined costumes and satin evening dresses. The Ukrainian shows were of great interest , but the Polish designers were also a huge hit with the public,” the organizers reported
The event awaited those interested with thirty additional programs throughout the city. The editors of the Italian L’OFFICIEL, British Forbes, New York’s The Cut and Ukrainian VOGUE also took part in the fashion week. International influencers such as Farhana Bodi of Indian origin or Loicka Grace, the French stylist who dresses world stars, were in the front rows of the fashion shows.
“The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency joined the Support Ukrainian Fashion initiative, which was created to help Ukrainian designers. We have a long-standing partnership with the organizers of the Kyiv Fashion Week, and this year they are also celebrating an important anniversary: they have been organizing the event in the Ukrainian capital for 25 years. Ukrainian Fashion Week will be canceled due to the war situation, so we have offered Budapest a venue for the presentation of the latest Ukrainian collections, before several other European Fashion Weeks,” quoted Anita Forintos-Szűcs, MDDÜ’s deputy general manager, in the announcement.
Those interested could follow the fashion shows live on the agency’s Facebook and TikTok platforms, the most viewed show on the latter attracted more than 66,000 people. BCEFW’s social media content reached more than 600,000 users in two days.
The MDDÜ supports the Ecumenical Aid Organization with the entire income from ticket sales, almost HUF 2.3 million, which will use the amount received for its program to help Ukrainians. His collections can be found on the BCEFW designer site (www.bcefw.com).
