We don’t set small goals, we aim for ten percent, says the leader of the Prague without chaos | party Politics | News | Prague Gossip
The new Prague political party is heading to the autumn elections without chaos, with Jaroslav Ďuriz, the former head of the Prague transport company, in first place. “We are a new group, we profile ourselves briefly and we don’t set ourselves small goals. We would be satisfied with eight percent, but we are aiming for ten,” he told our editors. In the pre-election period, Gossip presents the leaders of the candidates of some political entities that go to the polls and send their representatives to fight for the mayor’s seat.
“Only one thing is enough. So that transport is managed by experts”
Jaroslav Ďuriš worked in a Prague transport company for thirty years. He started in operational positions, after the revolution he got into middle management and from 2002 he headed the personnel department. Later, he worked as a director of the České Budějovice transport company, only to return to the Transport Company of the Capital City of Prague after two years, in the role of general manager and chairman of the board of directors, which he served for almost three years.
In June of this year, Ďuriš announced in an interview for Pražská Drbna that he is not satisfied with the management of traffic in Prague, so he is founding a new political entity called Prague without Chaos.
“Only one thing is enough. So that transport is managed by experts. There are enough of them here, we have CTU here, we have experienced managers here. There is no vision, there is no system. This is also one of the reasons why we are heading into politics,” he replied Jiří Ďuriš at that time in an interview for Drbna when asked how he would change transport in Prague.

“We can imagine cooperation with anyone who is reasonable and with anyone who is ready and willing to solve the energy crisis quickly and decisively”
Apart from transport, energy prices are also a big topic for Ďuriš. “Prague without chaos gave a clear promise that cheap gas to the people of Prague. We will return to the head of Pražská plynárenská an expert, long-time successful director Pavel Janečka. We will establish a special chapter in the city’s budget intended for the fight against energy poverty, where we will transfer the surplus of the capital’s budget, which for the first half of the year was twelve and a half billion crowns,” said Ďuriš in a video on social networks.
“We will start direct negotiations on gas supplies for Prague with our partner in Greece. We have prearranged that. I will force Pražská plynárenská to provide a regulated service similar to the Prague transport company, with the city covering the difference,” he added.
According to Ďuriš, he can imagine possible cooperation at the municipality with ODS, TOP 09 or ANO. “We can imagine cooperation with everyone who is reasonable and with everyone who is ready and willing to solve the energy crisis quickly and decisively, not the way the current mayor Mr. Hřib (Pirates) and his coalition with Prague solve it, who are waiting for what the government will negotiate, which in turn is waiting to be negotiated in Brussels. Actually, nothing has happened for half a year. We want to go into a coalition with someone who will behave sensibly and at the same time forcefully,” said Ďuriš to the editors of Pražská Drbna.

Ambitiously, Ďuriš also used the question regarding the percentage of votes obtained from voters. “We are a new group, we profile ourselves briefly and we don’t set ourselves small goals. We’d be happy with eight percent, but we’re aiming for ten,” said Ďuriš.
