How do they predict the result of the match Sivasspor vs. Slavia Prague leading European servers?
Yira Sor is Slavia’s cup demon. In the spring of the last season of the Conference League, she scored 6 goals and assisted on another three. She also scored twice in the opening preliminary round against St. Joseph’s. But since then he has been dealing with an injury, while Slavia would need his speed so much. How is he doing?
When Sor came to Slavia from Baník in the winter, probably no one can imagine such a quick and immediate acclimatization. The Nigerian speedster shot through Fenerbahce and LASK Linz and literally destroyed the opponents’ open defense with his speed.
Slavia wanted to use this treasure in the preliminary rounds as well, but Sor started only in the first match against St.Joseph’s, scored two goals, and since then no one has seen him on the pitch.
“The matches in Europe are played completely differently, it’s more open and there’s less contact. The game is more fluid. We missed him a lot in qualifying, it was very visible. It’s a run-forward style,” coach Jindřich Trpišovský regretted his absence at the press conference before Sivasspor.
It was all due to one innocent shot during training, during which Sor strained his groin. “His wound is deep in the groin where he had problems after one shot,” explains Trpišovský. There was a forced pause, but it was shorter than it should have been.
The coaches wanted to enable him at all costs for the rematch with Panathinaikos, where they knew he would be very useful. But they pushed Sora so hard that the speeder got damaged.
“We don’t want to get into a situation like at Panathinaikos, where we pushed him, then two training sessions set him back three weeks. His absence is partly the fault of us putting pressure on him to be available for the return leg. It’s something we want to prevent by having a national team break,” the coach of Slavia admits a mistake.
However, Sor should gradually recover and although it won’t be at Sivasspor yet, next week it could be a different story.
“By all indications, there’s a good chance he’ll be 100 percent involved next week. He has made great progress, he is also running. He only waits for a moment if he is too strong to go into 100% sprint and he goes into the load with the ball. If all goes well, it should be up and running on Tuesday or Wednesday. There is a possibility that I will be involved in Thursday’s match,” Trpišovský teased the fans of staples.
“We want to include him only when we are 100% sure that the groin will last. If there is still a little doubt, we will wait for him to get fit during the international break and use him to the full in the remaining groups.” I add that this time Sora will not be pressured.
In a group where a lot of open football is played, Sor can be very valid. That is why Trpišovský is waiting for his recovery as a mercy.
