The judgment of the Court of Appeal of Douai, last April, is finally validated by the Court of Cassation this Wednesday afternoon. Stéphane Sieczkowski-Samier is sentenced for embezzlement of public funds when he was mayor of Hesdin: 77,000 euros for jewelry, watches, clothes, restaurants and fuel.
His mother sentenced for complicity
At the origin of the procedure, the one who was mayor of Hesdin between 2014 and 2018, was due for 114,000 euros of embezzlement. The sentence was also reduced, going from three to two years in prison, suspended. Stéphane Sieczkowski-Samier receives six years of ineligibility and a fine of 15,000 euros.
His mother was sentenced for complicity in six months suspended sentence and a fine of 5,000 euros. They must both pay 1,250 euros to the municipality of Hesdin.
An ongoing investigation for false deliberation during a municipal council
