“Strange smell in the cockpit” forces Swiss plane to land
A Swiss plane has to make an emergency landing at Frankfurt Airport. The crew had previously discovered a strange smell in the cockpit.
Frankfurt – On Friday (September 2nd) it came on the Airport Frankfurt for a safe landing. A Swiss Airline machine was on its way from Manchester to Zurich. However, the pilots noticed a strange odor in the cockpit, the airline said. Therefore, they decided to make an unscheduled landing in Frankfurt.
17 minutes after the odor was detected, the plane was able to land safely. There was no danger for the 113 passengers and five crew members. It was just a security measure. The passengers were rebooked on trains after the emergency landing.
