Toulouse is progressing and ranks among the best student cities in the world

Little by little, the bird makes its nest… One after the last publication of the classification of best student cities in the world, Toulouse can boast of having canceled by winning eight places. This year, the consulting firm QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) raises the Pink City to the 78th place. Only Paris (8e) and Lyons (45e) do better in France.
“The government has made the necessary resources available to achieve these objectives, recently expanding the budget of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation for 2022 by more than 700 million euros. Several criteria
To record this ranking, the consulting firm relies on several criteria: student mix (43e place for Toulouse), theattractiveness among students (63e place for Toulouse), theemployers’ opinions on the universities of the city (97e Toulouse square), affordability (37e place for Toulouse), the university ranking from the city, student opinion (101e place for Toulouse).
“Toulouse is a city with low international tuition fees and a high standard of living. It is an underrated city for those wishing in France. The only downside is the relatively low world rankings of each of the city’s universities. »
Three Toulouse establishments in the ranking
When the study mentions a “relatively low ranking for the universities of Toulouse”, it refers to three establishments in Toulouse: theUniversity of Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier (ranked between 581st and 590th place), theToulouse 1 Capitole University (ranked between 1001st and 1200th place) and theToulouse-Jean Jaures University (ranked between 1001st and 1200th place).
The best-ranked French university is Université Paris Sciences & Lettres, which occupies 26th place. Other cities in France place establishments in the Top 500: Lyons, Grenoble or Strasbourg.

In its study, the consulting firm QS highlighted several factors that could encourage students to continue their education in Toulouse.
