POL-H: Vice President of the Hanover Police Headquarters delegated to the State Police Headquarters

The Police Vice President (PVP) of the Hanover Police Headquarters, Jörg Müller, has been delegated to the State Police Headquarters with immediate effect. On September 1st, 2022, an anonymous letter was received by the Quality and Complaints Management department in the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and Sport (“Complaints Office”), according to which there were alleged irregularities in the personnel management of the Chief of Police at the Hanover Police Department.
An investigation was immediately launched to clarify this allegation.
For the duration of the probable investigations, Mr. PVP Jörg Müller was temporarily released from his duties as police vice president in close coordination with the Ministry of the Interior and was tasked with processing police project tasks in the state police headquarters.
For the time being, Chief Police Director Detlef Hoffmann will take over his representation within the Hanover Police Department.
