Medicine test: the office of 3500 candidates in Pisa, Siena and Florence
Today it takes place all over Italy admission test to degree courses a number programmed in medicine and surgery and in dentistry and dental prosthetics for theacademic year 2022/2023.
Throughout Italy there will be 65,378 candidates who will take the access test. The data were released from Ministry of Education, specifying that for medicine and surgery a total of 15,876 places will be available, of which 14,740 for candidate countries from EU and non-EU countries residing in Italy and 1,136 for candidates from non-EU countries residing abroad.
In Tuscany the test concerns 3,549 candidates, divided between the three universities: to be precise a Florence are 1507 those registered for the selection, a Pisa 1278, a Siena 764.
In the Tuscan capital the test takes place at the Fortezza da Basso: to support it only those who reside in the provinces of Florence, Prato and Pistoia.
The total places available are 433.
In Siena the test is held at San Niccolò educational complex: 248 places for equivalent EU and non-EU citizens and 2 for non-EU citizens residing abroad of the Marco Polo project.
In Pisa the test the competition will be in a tensile structure set up at the San Rossore Hippodrome. place available are 309, of which 292 for medicine and 17 for dentistry.

In this tensile structure, already from tomorrow, over 6500 young people will take turns to take part in the entrance tests: a very high number, a sign that in the country there is an urgent need to look to the future, also probably dictated by the delicacy of the current historical moment and by what we have experienced in the recent past ”.

For the admission test in medicine and surgery and in dentistry and dental prosthesis in Italian candidates answer 60 multiple choice questions (5 response options provided). The time available is 100 minutes.
The maximum score foreseen for the evaluation of the tests is 90 points.
This year the number of questions for each subject has been reshaped and will be given more attention to disciplinary subjects and less to logic and general culture.
