Parents from Prague 2 can request a contribution for school supplies or clubs for their children
With the beginning of the school year, Prague 2 City Hall offers parents help with paying for school supplies or interest groups. The offer of the Dvojka srdcem Endowment Fund is particularly aimed at parents with low incomes or single parents. Parents of residents of Prague 2 or whose child attends one of the elementary schools established in the city districts can apply for a contribution of up to three thousand crowns. The town hall informed about this in a press release.
“Our secondary schools and teachers can handle almost everything. In addition to the regular agenda, they also handle crisis and unpredictable situations excellently, for which they deserve, in addition to my great admiration and respect, also a big thank you. However, what no one can influence are the rising prices of school supplies and hobby clubs. In order to mitigate the economic impact on parents with low incomes and single parents, we are now offering one-time assistance,” said Jana Černochová (ODS), Ministry of Defense and Prague 2 councilor for education and youth.
“We realize that at the current time, when energy prices are rising and everything is becoming more expensive, the beginning of the school year can be very difficult for some families. For those whose income is not enough to cover school costs, we offer a heart allowance of up to 3 thousand crowns through the foundation fund of the city district Dvojka. We are thus able to help anyone who needs it quickly, at an address, without unnecessary paperwork, and also completely anonymously,” explained Prague 2 mayor Alexandra Udženija (ODS), who is in charge of social areas, about help and support for single people.
Every parent who has a permanent residence in Prague 2 or whose child attends one of the primary schools established in the Prague 2 districts can request a contribution from the town hall for the management of school equipment or the payment of an interest group.
Interested parties can find the application form and other information on the website of the foundation fund www.dvojkasrdcem.cz. They can also contact the foundation by phone at 702 174 085 or by email at [email protected].
