Recently, wild rumors about a change from Frankfurt’s Daichi Kamada made the rounds: Portuguese media reported a few days before the end of the transfer window that Kamada had already agreed a move with Benfica. Coach Oliver Glasner immediately gave such speculation a clear rejection: “He stays with us, definitely.”

The transfer window is now closed and Kamada is still a player in Frankfurt. But one problem remains: sone contract expires at the end of the season. A situation that Eintracht wants to change as soon as possible.
Negotiations with Kamada are pending
Sports director Markus Krösche announced the negotiations with the service provider a week ago: “Daichi is an important player for us. He played a big part in our Europa League victory,” he told Dazn. “It is dependent on us to extend the contract with him,” is the clear statement.
As”picture” reported, Frankfurt wants to extend the 26-year-old Japanese by two, maybe even three years. Kamada is waving a salary increase for this.
Accordingly, the chances of an agreement are probably not bad. Benfica’s transfer attempt also failed because Kamada felt comfortable in Frankfurt and did not want to go to Portugal. Krösche knows that too: “[Kamada] white, uh was a us hat. I’m relatively confident that he’ll play a few more games with us.“
Kamada and Götze: The new dream duo at Eintracht Frankfurt
Kamada has played for Eintracht since 2019. Last season he was one of the top performers who helped Frankfurt to triumph in the Europa League.

Since then, Kamada has really turned on: In the current season he has already registered three goals and two assists in four games. He also scored 1-0 in the 4-0 demolition of RB Leipzig last Saturday. The interaction with newcomer Mario Götze works particularly well.
The two of them have their next opportunity to shine on Wednesday. With a home game against Sporting Lisbon (18.45 CET), Eintracht will play a game in the UEFA Champions League for the first time.

For a long time it went back and forth in the transfer summer about Konrad Laimer. The Leipzig midfielder wanted to go to Bayern and Bayern wanted the 25-year-old. However, the Munich team could not agree on the fee with RB.
