Holiday: – Sound the dance alarm
Denmark is the absolute most popular holiday destination for Norwegians. And the slogan “It’s nice to be Norwegian in Denmark” can be confirmed every year by a large number of holidaying Norwegians.
But when travelling, it is also easy to forget to be alert all the time. And now East Jutland’s police are warning against being robbed by dancing thieves!
Dance pleasure
Local newspaper Aarhus, in Denmark’s second largest city, tells the story about a 21-year-old man whose bank card was stolen while he was waiting for the bus at midnight this week.
Refuses to turn around
The man was approached by men who asked for help to buy a bus ticket. The 21-year-old offered to help, and then one of them must have become so happy that he insists on showing him a special dance.
The man danced around the helpful 21-year-old before they left the scene. And first discovered the helper of his credit card had been stolen and that it has been several thousand kroner from the card.
The police are warning
East Jutland’s Police have set several examples of similar procedures,
And they warn against being diverted by, for example, dancing, after which you are robbed by the dancers who have dishonest intentions.
Do not buy this at the airport
– Therefore, be aware if you are approached by strangers on the street who in some way draw attention to yours, then there is a high risk of being robbed of valuables.
Also be aware that creative gangs of thieves also run rampant in Norway. Therefore, avoid carrying valuables that are easily accessible to quick-witted thieves when you are travelling.
