Interest in freediving is growing in Moldova
Interest in diving and freediving (freediving) is growing in Moldova, and in November it is planned to organize competitions in this exotic sport, which allows you to discover a new world – a world of peace, harmony and joy.
Alena Kutas, the champion of Moldova in freediving, told about it for bloknot-moldovanoting that in Moldova there is a Federation of diving, freediving and other underwater sports that works within the CMAS system, and she herself became a freediving instructor to popularize this kind of sport and help people.
“With the active assistance of the president of the Federation, Sergey Legheida, I hold courses and training in freediving, off-site courses – deep diving. Until now, there are not many people who practice freediving, but every day the number of those interested is increasing, which makes me very happy”, emphasized Alena Kutas.
She mentioned that she teaches basic classes and freediving classes at her DragonDive freediving and swimming school at Premier Fitness Center.
And the second home of freedivers is Dahab in Egypt, where there are excellent conditions for training almost at any time of the year, good transparency, no thermocline and no high current, no crowds of tourists. The underwater world of the Red Sea with each dive always reveals something new, amazing in its beauty.
According to Alena Kutas, in fact, freediving is practiced almost everywhere, because freediving can be a very diverse activity. There are many directions, such as: Fun freediving is the ability to dive anywhere in the world without special equipment, in cold or warm water and see underwater beauty, landscapes, animals; Free diving art; siren; Underwater stuntmen and actors; Underwater photos and videos; Freediving – a case of relaxation, restart, stress relief, self-knowledge and self-development; Improving health; underwater fishing; Sport freediving.
In Moldova, off-campus courses are organized not only in Egypt, but also in other interesting places: Greece, Turkey, Poland, Italy, the island of Cyprus, the island of Mauritius, Mexico.
Alena Kutas pointed out that we have a chance to popularize freediving in Moldova, which she is currently doing, holding courses and freediving courses at Kishinev and Tiraspol.
“On-site training courses, deep diving. Restart courses and holotropic breathing. Launched the project: Art freediving. The program and news can be found on the telegram channel: Freediving Moldova or on the website www.dragondive.md”, he said champion of Moldova in freediving.
Alena Kutas is 38 years old and has four children. She has been diving for three years. Before that, he lived a normal life. Alena decided to practice freediving after the divorce. Holding her breath and the dense water around her became like a breath of air and psychotherapy, a rethinking of life.
“I was driven to freediving by personal events in my life, by a lot of shock and stress. It became a kind of psychotherapy for me, rethinking life, priorities, re-approaching fears. This sport gives you full confidence and acceptance. With intention, freediving shows you the way to yourself, helps you know your true resources, your potential. It is a unique tool for working with the subconscious, illuminating everything around like a flashlight in a dark and unfamiliar room. Diving is a philosophy, another quality of life. We do freediving in the pool, we train our basic skills and techniques on a delayed breath and then transfer it, if desired, to depth. There are school disciplines and depth discipline,” said Alena Kutas.
In June of this year, she participated in the World Freediving Championships in Burgas, Bulgaria, the swimming discipline.
“My personal record: STA – Static Freediving: 4:05 minutes, DYNB – Dynamic Bifin Freediving: 108m, DYN – Dynamic Monofin Freediving: 150m. The world record for statistical freediving is held by Budumir Sobat, an athlete from Croatia: 24:33 minutes.
According to AIDA: Stefan Mifsud: 11:35 minutes, among women Natalia Molchanova: 9:02 minutes. Fin diving: Mateusz Malina – 290 m, Mirela Kardasevich – 250 m. Monofin: Mateusz Malina – 316 m, Mirela Kardasevich – 275 m,” said the athlete.
According to her, freediving is a very interesting sport, in which the central role belongs to the psycho-emotional state, the ability to relax and only after all this – techniques. In freediving, there is one main safety rule: we practice, we don’t just dive with an experienced instructor or partner.
“Of course, it’s better to start with an instructor at a freediving school – it’s safe and effective. It will be extremely difficult to do it yourself or by training yourself from the internet. In addition, there are many nuances of safe diving, “pitfalls” so to speak, which can best be understood by taking basic freediving courses,” said Aleona Kutas.
