VOLLSMOSE/ODENSE (Aftenposten): Imane Gheith (44) stands with his back to a run-down block of flats. For 20 years it has been her home. In a few weeks she has to go out.
Daughter Luna (6) is at a scout meeting. In an open space between the apartment blocks, you can find a bunch of knots. None of the children are ethnically Danish. It has gained importance.
This is a type of suburb found throughout Europe. Characterized by worn high-rise buildings from the 1970s. High unemployment. A lot of poverty. Gang crime. And where the majority of residents have an immigrant background.

In neighboring Sweden, the suburbs have become a symbol of outsiders and gang crime. The condition in Swedish suburbs is often used as a horror example in Denmark.
The Danes have come up with a very special plan: the population in these districts must be corrected and deleted and replaced.
For that, the Danish authorities use the controversial category: «non-Western background».
